Hmm, a very interesting concept of the Seeker and Keeper of spirits. The violence and gore in this book actually was less than in Kelley's Darkest Powers series, more bearable than I'd thought it'd be. Looking forward to the next book.

An enchanting read filled with magic, mystery, and elegance, I found this book quite enjoyable. It had this sort of dark elegance to it, and the twist in plot from the original "Twelve Dancing Princesses" was very interesting. My only complaint would be that it started off really slow, making it harder for the reader to push through until the good parts. Anyways, it was a great fairytale retelling, and I found it to be a worthwhile read.An enchanting read filled with magic, mystery, and elegance, I found this book quite enjoyable. This was a great conclusion to the series. The author wrapped up the story well, and I'm glad America was able to resolve her feelings. The only complaint would be that, as people have mentioned before, Kiera Cass does seem to have gotten carried away with the character deaths. The king's death was reasonable, as that would truly liberate Maxon to reign as he would wish, and America's father's death lead to a discovery about the Northern rebels, but the queen, Celeste, Anne, and some of the other character's deaths were rather redundant and unnecessary. Overall, I enjoyed it and am glad to have read the books. This was a great conclusion to the series. The author wrapped up the story well, and I'm glad America was able to resolve her feelings. This book is haunting. I don't mean it in the so-scary-I-can't-sleep kind of way, I mean that at the end, I was starting at the last page with a horrified expression. And what's with the not-ending? No one really did anything about the wrong acts the club was committing, just saved themselves....This book is haunting. One of the best books I've read for a while-- with realistic characters, heartshattering backstories, and packed action, the author really gets you feeling, hoping, and crying along with Scarlet and Rob. Although the old English-style narration can be a bit difficult to understand at times, it was a thoroughly enjoyable book. Once I started, I found that I could barely put it down! One of the best books I've read for a while-- with realistic characters, heartshattering backstories, and packed action, the author really gets you feeling, hoping, and crying along with Scarlet and Rob. This book was of no use to me. Although titled "Iron Curtain", there is barely any mention of the Iron Curtain in this book.

Best book I've read for a long time. I would totally recommend this. I simply cannot wait for the next installment; why does 2013 have to be so far away?? I was hooked from page one. If you haven't read this, you're defineately missing out.

Interesting read; I never really thought of the princess or the sea witch in that way. Confusing at parts--for example, what was Agnes' story? Was she really Sybil in disguise? And if she was, how come Lenia couldn't 'sense' her like Sybil said all humans could? Did that mean Lenia wasn't completely human until she and Christopher got married? I need more on this! I like how this book sticks with the ORIGINAL story, not the rainbows-and-butterflies Disney version, with its own bit of a twist at the end. Very good.Interesting read; I never really thought of the princess or the sea witch in that way. Confusing at parts--for example, what was Agnes' story? Was she really Sybil in disguise? The only way I could describe this is as a beautiful, culturally-rich book that has been masterfully woven together by an expert who clearly knows her stuff. With rich illustrations done by the author herself and Chinese folktales interwoven within the larger plot, this book is nothing short of brilliant. A worthwhile read in every sense, I would thoroughly recommend it to readers of any age and ethnicity. The only way I could describe this is as a beautiful, culturally-rich book that has been masterfully woven together by an expert who clearly knows her stuff. LOVE this book. Read it over and over 3 times in a row!! There is a kind-of gory part, but it makes you feel more sad than actually grossed out. Beautiful and written with great emotion. Five stars! The movie was too rushed, though. As usual, the book is always better.LOVE this book. Read it over and over 3 times in a row!!
