Description

Come learn fun ideas and activities that you can use to support early literacy at home. Learn about the practice of Active Reading, or reading WITH your child rather than TO your child. Learn how to use the ABC's of Active Reading with your child. Come prepared to play and learn together with your child.

Note: This program is taught in two parts. Please attend both sessions to make the most of your learning! Pick up a free Active Reading book kit at these Library locations: Allegra Westbrooks, University City Regional, South Park Regional Library, Independence Regional Library, ImaginOn Library, or North County Regional Library, Steele Creek Library, Plaza Midwood Library, or Hickory Grove Library. Simply ask any Library staff member for the Active Reading packet for this workshop.
