Independence Branch Creating with Books: Dinosaur Gardens!

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Description

This program will be provided by Independence Branch library staff.

Listen to stories and extend learning through a variety of hands-on activities. This month we'll be using the most hilarious parts of our imagination to create an "herbivore garden" that will draw in even the most curious plant eating dinosaurs.  We'll also be getting some inspiration from the book, What the Dinosaurs Did Last Night: A Very Messy Adventure by Refe Tuma.  Register online and pick up your Take-and-Make kit the week before the program!

A Take-and-Make kit of supplies for this program will be available for pickup at the Independence branch from June 7 – June 14. Additional supplies needed (not included in Take-and-Make kit):

  • 1 medium sized rock from your backyard
  • Any additional items you'd like to include in your garden
    • Additional rocks
    • Sticks and twigs
    • Plants, flowers, grass, etc.
    • Other dino (or non dino) friends!
    • Etc.
