Active Reading Training

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Description

Now more than ever caregivers and parents are tasked with education in the home setting. Let Charlotte Mecklenburg Library teach you how to improve your child's reading at home! Attend this virtual class to learn about the research-based practice of Active Reading, or reading aloud with your child by asking questions, building vocabulary, and connecting to your child's world. Learn to read WITH your child in grades K-3, rather than reading TO your child.

Note: This class is perfect for parents, caregivers, teachers, teacher assistants, or any adults working with children in grades K-3. Join us in a video conference on Zoom in a link that will be shared one day prior to this class (be sure to provide your email address to receive the link).
