Money Magnets: The Business of Family Business

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Description

Money Magnets Club’s spring/summer 2022 programs will launch with a bang! We’re excited to bring together audiences across the library system while highlighting our partnership with the West Boulevard and Allegra Westbrooks branches of the library in our “Best of the West” virtual series.

For our March program, we are thrilled to invite guest entrepreneur duo Mr. Jay and Miss Gracie of Gracie’s Corner TV in our session entitled “The Business of Family Music Business.” As a native of Jeffersonville, Georgia, Dr. Javoris “Jay” obtained his Masters and Doctorate degrees in Chemistry from Louisiana State University. After conducting research abroad in China, he began his career as an Assistant Professor at the Historically Black College/University (HBCU) Florida A&M University, and then joined the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of St. Thomas (UST) in Houston, Texas. He is also the creator, writer and music producer for the YouTube channel Gracie’s Corner, which was created with his 9-year old daughter, Graceyn “Gracie.” Gracie enjoys singing, baking and playing golf. Her dream is to one day become a professional singer or actress. To date, their channel has over 77,000 subscribers and has generated over 18 million views.

Join us to explore how this dynamic family duo works hard and has fun using media to share their educational messages as a business endeavor.

This program will be provided by West Blvd. and Allegra Westbrooks Regional library staff.
