Join us on the 1st Tuesday of each month for the His and Her Stories Made History book club! 

For our next meeting, we will be meeting the North Carolina author of Song of Redemption, Malika Stevely. Ms. Stevely will share the inspiration and journey it took her to write this particular story. Available copies will be on site for purchase. Snacks will be provided. 

Synopsis:

Based on true events. When the remains of a gifted songstress house servant are found in a wall of a Louisiana mansion, her last living relative returns to the plantation home to identify the body, revealing to local reporters the details that led to the servant's fate.

This program will be provided by University City library staff, and is open to the public.
