The Writing Life Workshop: Inspiration to Final Draft

10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Mountain Island Library

Description

Want to learn about writing from bestselling authors including David Baldacci, Jill McCorkle, and Jason Mott? Charlotte Readers Podcast co-hosts Landis Wade and Sarah Archer share lessons learned from over 500 interviews with authors working in all different genres. This session will use books 4-6 in The Write Quotes series as a springboard for discussion and creative exercises. We'll cover tips for the entire writing process, from finding inspiration and conducting research; to crafting strong characters, structure, and prose; to revising and working with editors. Attendees receive lunch and a free paperback copy of book five in the series! Come ready to share your experiences, learn from others, and leave inspired.

If you participated in one of the workshops on books 1-3 in the series, you can join again to learn about additional topics and try new writing exercises, but this session will also function independently if you didn't make part one.

Landis Wade and Sarah Archer are co-hosts on the popular Charlotte Readers Podcast, and are both successfully published authors themselves. To learn more about their work and their podcast, check out: www.saraharcherwrites.com; www.landiswade.com; www.charlottereaderspodcast.com
