Malika J. Stevely is an author of historical fiction, essays, and African American and women's literature. A graduate of California State University-Fullerton, Stevely earned dual degrees in English and Comparative Literature and Communications. As a former newspaper reporter, she has published an array of articles and interviews with civil rights and literary icons. Her work has received 5-star recognition and has placed as a finalist in U.S. and international literary awards programs. She is a member of national and global book associations.
