April is National Financial Literacy Month and we're kicking it off with a bang! Join us Tuesday April 8th from 3:00-4:30 pm for an epic life-size financial board game, Dimes to Dollars! In partnership with Truist bank, this financial literacy workshop and game, offers teens (Ages 12-18) the chance to learn about the basics of money and budgeting. Think Monopoly meets the Game of Life, except you are the board pieces!
The first half of the program will be facilitated by Truist Bank Financial Inclusion leader and Vice President, Matthew Winston, who will give a crash course on money basics and budgeting. After that, teens will test their financial knowledge in our Dimes to Dollars Life-Size board game set up around ImaginOn's Teen Loft!
The object of the game is to move throughout the board, gain income, pay your expenses, balance your budget, and be the person with the most money left over by the end!
No matter your financial knowledge or skillset, all are welcome to learn and play!
Registration is preferred, but not required! (due to the library's ILS system transition in April--see more below--please use this link to register https://forms.office.com/r/EKr...)
