Nothing has been the same since Caleb Becker left a party drunk, got behind the wheel, and hit Maggie Armstrong. Even after months of painful physical therapy, Maggie walks with a limp. Her social life is nil and a scholarship to study abroad-her chance to escape everyone and their pitying stares-has been canceled. After a year in juvenile jail, Caleb's free . . . if freedom means endless nagging from a transition coach and the prying eyes of the entire town. Coming home should feel good, but his family and ex-girlfriend seem like strangers. Caleb and Maggie are outsiders, pigeon-holed as "criminal" and "freak." Then the truth emerges about what really happened the night of the accident and, once again, everything changes. It's a bleak and tortuous journey for Caleb and Maggie, yet they end up finding comfort and strength from a surprising source: each other.

The lives of both Maggie and Caleb take a turn for the worse when Caleb accidentally hits Maggie while driving under the influence. After spending a year in juvie, Caleb is reunited with his family and friends, yet they seem incapable of putting Caleb’s past behind them. Caleb finds solace in hanging out with Maggie, the girl whose life he ruined forever. Although hesitant at first, Maggie finds herself falling in love with Caleb once again. To be honest, the concept of this novel was exceptional, but the chemistry between Maggie and Caleb was poorly written. If some loser cripples me for life, I wouldn’t forgive him the moment he apologizes. Overall, I was thoroughly disappointed with how things played out.

This book is spectacular. Honestly, I have no words. This book really made me cry. I hope enjoy it as much as I did, and make sure to take out the sequel, 'Return To Paradise'. It's even better!

Amazingly dynamic completed with a true ending. Not some sappy, nonrealistic ending like some books. Excited to read the rest of the books in the series.

I think its a great realistic fiction story. The romance is a big cliche but I think its dramatic in a great way and got me into the storyline. The sequel is better

First Simone Elkeles book I read and I loved it! It was super suspenseful and about midway of the copy I was reading, there was a copying issue and the book repeated! But overall it was so good I had to read her other books as well.

Wow. Its a good book, i finished it in less than 6hours. The only thing i do not like about the book is the ending. Well, not entirely. I like that everything turned out for the better, but in a way it didnt. It was a great book and a must read!

The author does a great job pulling you along the story, even though you can see the plot unfurling a mile away. Who cares, right? when it's written well enough. A fun, light read.
