How It Happened In Peach Hill is a daring story of a girl named Annie who has spent her life moving from city to city, running from the police and assisting her mother the “clairvoyant”. Tired of living in beat around places and just wanting to settle down, Annie sees the perfect place in Peach Hill. But Annie’s mother’s plans are more extravagant than ever and Annie resumes her role as the village psycho. However Annie is an ambitious girl, and like any teenager sees a glimpse of a life she wishes she had; and takes the reins. This book has you constantly guessing when someone is going to break and tear right through the pages in anger or passion; the characters are realistically covered. Every aspect, from the maid at Madame Caterina’s to the preacher down the street, is portrayed amazingly and this is a definite 5/5 for me considering I have re-read it millions of times!
