A difficult read because the situation we've put ourselves into is very overwhelming and depressing.

I've been meaning to read what Maude Barlow has to say about the world's water situation for at least 10 years. By the time I got to Page 3, not only did I feel overwhelmed about the destruction we're causing, but I also felt very guilty about waiting so long to better educate myself on this crucial matter.

I just can't believe Canadians and the rest of the world are not making this a top priority. Why is this not in our face everyday? I urge readers to get better informed, and start taking positive action - inform friends and family, contact government officials, join local action groups, etc. We can't keep sitting back and doing nothing.

At times difficult to process, if simply because the data is so overwhelmingly presented, this book is an eye-opener. Very disturbing, but worthy of Silent Spring fame.

well researched and written, but also left wing bias that hurts its credibility, worth the read
