I couldn't finish this book, for me the author worked at being "different" and was over the top. The two main characters have extremely unusual names and when I came to them in the book I had to pause. The description uses the name Sophie but in the book it is Sophreena. The ladies are different in height also, one is real short, the other real tall. To add to the difference Esme talks with the dead. I really wanted to like this because I love genealogy but ...
