The author's old hippie attitudes sometimes get in the way of an otherwise interesting book.
Are you certain this author understand the causes for the "Great Recession" (most of us refer to it as The Great Deleveraging, or the Present Depression)? Does it sound as if the author is reframing on behalf of Wall Street? That these "economic follies" just happened "by accident" or were "unintended consequences"? The four publications she has been published in have been highly mediocre over the past decade; have you really learned anything from Van Heuvel's "The Nation" lately? Or "Harper's"?
