Sixteen-year-old Poppy is an LA teen diva who does what she wants, whenever she wants. But after an over-the-top prank pushes her father one step too far, she finds herself shipped off to the one place where everything will change: a British boarding school. Finding herself in a foreign world of early curfews, stern matrons, and mandatory lacrosse, Poppy realizes that she has finally met her match: a school of British girls who won't tolerate her rebellious ways. Under the watchful eye of the headmistress and surrounded by a new circle of friends, Poppy begins to understand her bad-girl behavior will only go so far. But just because she must grow up into a young lady, doesn't mean that she won't be spending every waking hour shaking up a very proper system.

i heart this movie it awesome i love the who story line except for the end which i find a bit cheesy. the whole thing about being innocent and winning the grand final. besides that total chick flick and is great for sunday night movies when you stay in on sunday night because theres nothing on.

Overall awesome movie for teens i love it

Sadly, we find Natasha Richardson slumming in this, the last film before her untimely demise (excepting her vocal performance in "The Wildest Dream"). Not only is it a failed high-school comedy with a predictably atrocious script (about a rebellious California teen forced to attend a British boarding school.) But it's also a puerile (literally!) version of the stereotyped sniping that routinely occurs in American films at those huffy, stuffy, backstabbing Brits. Its only salvation comes in the form of several all-too-short cameos by gifted comedienne Shirley Henderson.

I was pleasantly surprised with this DVD. I was expecting the usual teen movie and was refreshed that the acting was above decent, that the lead man didn't pull too many cheesy lines. I think an accent can make even cheesy lines non-cheesy.

If you're looking for a cute teen movie I would recommend this one.
