"Stone Barrington isn't one to turn away in the face of danger, so when he witnesses a tricky situation underway, he jumps in to lend a hand. He never expected, though, that this favor would lead to a mutually beneficial business deal with a prominent gentleman who requires the ever-discreet services of Woodman & Weld. But in the ruthless corporate world no good deed goes unpunished, and Stone soon finds himself the target of a ragtag group of criminal toughs who don't appreciate his interference in their dealings. From the isolated landscape of Maine to the white sand beaches of Key West, the trail of deception, theft, and murder will lead to a perilous confrontation" --

As usual Stone Barrington kept me entertained. Great read.

I agree - Woods is expending little effort on this series. Fast read but no depth or complexity. Each woman is successful in male-occupied occupations - thanks for that - but none of them have a personality. And they all want to have a one-night stand with Stone. That's liberation for you. Every male character sounds the same within his own socio-economic class, i.e., just like Stone or a cop or a crook. I did read the whole thing however.

Things are getting a little to
easy for Stone Barrington.
(getting laid ,making money
and meeting new friends.)
Enjoyable in a cooking
cutting way.

Woods continues to decline as a serious writer, It seems like he just mailed this one in. Maybe its the pressure of coming up with a new title every few months or so, or maybe he is just farming them out now to ghost writers.

I had not read a Stuart Woods book for quite some time, and now I remember why.
sophomoric writing and pandering to the lowest denominator of reader.

I couldn't finish it.

Another one, just like the other ones and that's not bad. An extra star for downplaying the politics.
