Absolutely love love this movie! It is based on a true story of an Irish girl who becomes a singer and after the Vietnam War goes to Vietnam and founds a non profit organization to benefit the refugee children of Vietnam. Christina Noble is a Saint, in my opinion. It is funny, it is sad, but it is entertaining as well - it is a hidden gem of a movie!

Ok. Thought the story line was a bit disjointed

Good film based on a true story. I found it a bit depressing, but you really have give credit to Christina Noble (the main character) who is a truly an outstanding, dedicated and committed humanitarian who had a troubled childhood herself in Ireland then went to Vietnam in 1989 to help homeless city children. She worked hard to get funding for centers for health, education and housing for Vietnamese children. The story shifts between her early life in Dublin (her mother died young, she and her siblings were sent off to religious boarding schools. She was raped as a young woman and had a child, that the boarding school put up for adoption without really telling her.) She eventually married to a man who turned out to be an abusive husband, then she finally she decides to go to Vietnam and works on her dream to help homeless / street children. Truly an inspirational person with a huge heart and tenacious Irish stubbornness and a keen sense to fight for what she believed in and to achieve results in a place far from her home, but very close to her to her heart.
