Baby DollBook - 2016
"For fans of Gone Girl and Girl on the Train, BABY DOLL is the most tense thriller you will read this year. Held captive for eight years, Lily has grown from a teenager to an adult in a small basement prison. Her daughter Sky has been a captive her whole life. But one day their captor leaves the deadbolt unlocked. This is what happens next ... to her twin sister, to her mother, to her daughter ... and to her captor."--

OK, I got an advanced reader of this book. What happens when you were kidnapped as a teen, and finally manage to escape from your abductor, with your young child? You would think it would be all joy and happiness and revenge. Oh, there's revenge here, but a lot has happened since she was kidnapped. Things have changed. This book is almost impossible to put down. The writing is compelling and keeps the reader guessing. Unfortunately there are issues with bad language. That might not bother some readers, but I had to do a lot of mental editing. This is the author's first book. It bodes well for her future career.
