BiowasteStreaming Video - 2011
This episode of Boneyard explores the disposal of human and animal waste. Every day, humans produce millions of gallons of potentially dangerous sewage. Once dumped into the oceans or other sites, today this sewage is treated in plants partly powered by energy tapped from the waste itself. Another form of biowaste, agricultural waste, is being recycled as biofuels for cars and trucks. Boneyard also looks at how human bodies are being recycled to aid the science of forensic anthropology.
