This Archival Film, taken by the Signal Corps during the American Expeditionary Force (AEF) of 10,000 officers and men to Northern Russia from August, 1918 to April, 1920, documents the activities and mission of the multinational Allied Forces to guard war materiel left over from World War I, defend the Trans-Siberian Railroad from civil turmoil in Russia, and aid the evacuation of returning Czech troops while in the U.S.S.R. Note: This digitally remastered version may reveal limitations of the technology available at the time of the performance.
