A delightful love story about a fighter pilot in WW2 whose wife dies in an accident while he is overseas. He has a seven year old son who has to go to live with his mean old grandfather who has not talked to his son in years after a big argument.
Lovely ending.

This was an unexpected surprise. Mainly because I never knew that i would be drawn in by such tradgedy that way. And that quickly I might add. Ive always been a huge fan of someone else's heart ache but to say that someone eles pain brings me happiness to read has never really been my thing. However, Mr. Walsh has made me re think how I perceive other peoples misery and convert it into my own pleasure. Just Kidding! I was happy that I found this book laying beside the self check out!
