In this moving and triumphant memoir, Wade shares his inspiring thoughts about fathers and sons, writing poignantly about the gratifying responsibilities of being a single dad to his two sons, Zaire and Zion, while recounting his own growing up years and his memorable rise to the top echelon of professional basketball.

I like Wade. He's one of my favorite Ball players. however, I will not be bias because of that. This book was not all that and is overrated if it even concieves more than three stars. I was so excited to read this book because I felt so proud that Wade was taking a stand for something so important: fatherhood. However i must say the book was grossly lacking real depth into the extent of what he will be doing as a father first. Sure, there was the sob stories that really gives the reader a solid context of where Mr Wade is coming from especially the parts about his custody battle. What was failed to be emphasised is how he will be there for his children and what he will actively do-- I expected everything he spoke about...getting his children involved in extra curricular, making sure they know how much their mother loves them but what about the mention of directing them to love the lord and reading the bible?? isn't he a Christian?? how about more info on how hes training them to be men right now? more thoughts on discipline?? respect for themselves and others? I beleive this the book lacked essential details. A book with this Title would be better done by Chris Paul. that is all.

Review title: Setting Your Priorities. This seems to be a story to encourage readers to seriously consider their sex lives, that is to consider how sex may lead to parenthood and how you (as a parent) will be able to balance your school-life and your work-life while being a parent. Over the course of years from age 19 to age 25 Dwayne Wade seems to realize that his focus was on basketball more than on being a husband and a father. Then by age 25 through a series of events (life altering events) he realized the special privilege he was missing by not focusing on his family life. His candid biography will probably assist young fathers to focus on being a father first, THEN focus on career goals and make sure those career goals allow for family communication and positive family energy. Dwayne's biography should, hopefully, encourage readers to start their career life and be on the road to financial stability before starting a family to make sure that you and your spouse are compatible on more than the sexual aspects of your marriage.
