What's good about this book is that it gives advice about specific issues — so if you are having issues with your kid's table manners, refusing potty, picking his/her nose... you can look these particular issues up and see what the author suggests to do. Because the topics are so specific though, I found myself wondering "But what if...?" because it only addressed pinpointed situations.
Also, I personally am not a proponent of "democratic parenting" — I agree with parts but not all of it. This would be a terrific resource for anyone who is on board with the theories though. Also, my kid is 2.5-yr-old, and most of the issues covered seem to be geared towards older (more verbal) children.

this had most of the same info from "honey i wrecked the kids" but it was in a summary form... more examples and mostly to be a quick reference for handling a specific issue without the comprehensive info from "honey..."
