This is honestly one of my favorite books. I have never been on the edge of my seat reading a book before, but there's a first time for everything! I couldn't put it down, and find myself re-reading it about once a year. Definitely give it a try.

Got this right after being intrigued by Nix's pre-quel in the dystopian collection "After", which was set 10 years before this book. Although some questions were never answered (I shake my fist at you, Garth) I lived for the ending.

Absolutely Fantastic book. A real page turner. I found myself unable to put it down :)

I think that this is a really great dystopian novel. It's original and of the four main characters most readers will be able to relate to at least one if not more of them. Garth Nix is a skilled writer and the plot is exciting, gripping and there may be tears at the end. One of my favorite of Nix's works.
