I am proud to say I grew up in the same town (Nyack, NY) as this hero. Wonderful and important story.

Great story of a very sensitive, caring and courageous young man. Such a heroic, yet sad, ending to a brilliant American! I applaud his parents, too, for the way they raised him, and for telling his story and keeping his legacy alive. Loved it!

This is an ugly cry kind of book and I read it in one day. I wasn't familiar with the story before reading this book, and even though I knew what happened, I still found myself bawling. Read this if you want a true story of bravery that will inspire you.
