In the third installment of the Dead Girl series by Linda Joy Singleton, Amber is a little more accustomed to taking over peoples lives while their soul goes on a vacation. Only this time, the body Amber takes over is her best friend Alyce’s. Thinking she’ll have an easy job, knowing everything about her best friend already, Amber predicts this assignment will be quick and easy. However, that’s far from the case. With everything from the Dark Lifer Gabe to being set up on creepy dates for Alyce, and even her own body being assigned, Ambers got more problems than she thought possible. I thought this book was a bit different from the other two, because the main character has become more aware of what her missions are and has somewhat become more adjusted. You get to see that when she spends time with Gabe. You definitely have to read the other two books before you jump into this one. The series altogether flows nicely, and is quite an easy read and easy to follow. However, this one is a little more gruesome than the other two. It’s not descriptive, however, but there is a rather unexpected ending, and also a few twists, such as Alyce’s mom. She is definitely not what you would expect, but it also enlightens Alyce’s character. This book was probably my favourite of the entire series, and was extremely hard for me to put down. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next, and I’m sad that its over.
