Some of the recipes might be ok, but those ones are no different than the Italian Recipes you can find anywhere. Many of the food photos look legitimately awful, like piles of congealed goop or dry, over cooked starch. I was also surprised at the amount of sugar used in some of the recipes considering the information in the last book this family published. I’d recommend “Vegano Italiano” over this book any day.

Italian inspired vegan recipes that include pizzas, cheeses, pastas, salads, soups, desserts and more. Healthy, creative and simple recipes, but by no means traditional Italian food as the cheeses are nut based and some pizza crust is made with cauliflower. The book emerges from a yoga retreat that the authors hosted in Italy, as a result it is also filled with celebration, community and sustainability. Appearing throughout the book are little mindfulness nuggets giving the reader nourishment for the mind. Love the photography too! Can't wait to make the Gorgonzola fig arugula pizza and their vegan mozzarella cheese.
