Loved it! Tessa Dare at the top of her game. Well-rounded characters, some sex, some laughs, a good story, some old friends re-introduced. This book has it all!

It's not often that I laugh out loud at a book, but this one had some great jokes and ridiculous set-ups. It was fun and sizzling, so treat yourself and read it!!

4+ Stars

Another fun story by Dare with a great hero and heroine. There were sweet, witty, and sexy moments throughout, but my favorite scenes were those with the Duke of Ashbury. I loved him in the first book and he was just as eccentric and witty during his short scenes in this one.

I have discovered Tessa Dare is especially fun to read. She shows her sense of humor in this book.

I love these Tessa Dare novels! They are so sweet, very witty and funny and the characters are so well rounded. I love how all the women are smart, strong and independent and the men listen, take extra care to be sure there is consent and ultimately admit when they are wrong! What more could you ask for... Although these are embarrassing for me to read in public because I can't help but laugh out loud constantly!

Alex's inner dialogue with herself was a bit twee for my tastes, but overall this is a sweet and comforting Regency romance.

Alex is a science-minded governess who sort of stumbles into the position, and Chase is a rake (I would call him more of a wannabe rake) with a dry sense of humor and a pair of wards he doesn't know how to handle. The girls are funny and charming (one of them invents fatal diseases for her doll and doll funerals are held almost daily).

I'm interested to see where Tessa Dare goes next with Alex's circle of friends.

Aww, this book was too sweet (and spicy). And it had me laughing out loud!

I loved the backstories of all the characters: Chase, Alex, and of course, Daisy and Rosamund (and Millicent, the ever-ailed doll). Alex was excellent-- I loved reading about her love for astronomy. Chase and Alex had a great banter going throughout, and I adored their unique relationships with the girls.

I wasn't surprised I fell for Tessa Dare's latest. Not at all.

I don’t care if you’re gently bred, roughly bred, or a loaf of brown bread with butter. You’re educated, you understand propriety, and you’re . . . breathing.

Because I am not eulogizing another leprosy victim covered in sores that weep marmalade!
