This is first and foremost a movie with low production values. However, the great performance by Forest Whitaker brings the overall satisfaction with the movie up. The story is based on true events, and is pretty tense at times. The scenes that are the worst, and almost look like they were pulled from some sort of low budget KKK propaganda film, look like they don't even belong. Overall worth watching for the cultural significance and Whitaker's performance.
