I would imagine anyone not a fan of Bennett might find this read a snooze. I enjoyed it, being a fan of his, but was disappointed not to have found any background about his Uncommon Reader, my personal favorite. It could be in a more recent book. Being of a certain age & somewhat of an Anglophile, I recognized many writers, actors, etc.
