I'm afraid I have to go against popular opinion and say I was disappointed in this one. Where was a lot more violence and a lot less about friendship and peace and the whole world working together than I expected. Even at the end, I don't consider it a happy ending when one character is a 'slave,' but everyone else lives happily ever after.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the movie, and I never knew it was a book until a few weeks ago. The book is very different from the movie, but that's ok. It is definitely a book for children - the language is simple and direct, but I wonder if kids today would enjoy it. The format of the book was really enjoyable too. The pages had cutouts, and they folded out at various points too.
