Add a CommentThis is a 1928 silent film, which has been restored to its proper 143-minute length---more tha 50 minutes longer than any version previously released on video.
Although the DVD cover says that this film remains remarkably contemporary even 75 years after its premiere, it appears boring to me with overacting and lack of real thrill.
I can't understand why the NYPL doesn't have at least one DVD copy
of Spies directed by Fritz Lang.
