This biography of Martha Washington is full of detail inside of a broad historical overview. Once again I am amazed at the many and varied roles women in this time period took on and without compensation or recognition. Martha was an amazing partner for George and I wonder if the Revolution would have been successful without them. We owe them our country I think. Highly reccommend this read.
