To be honest I didn't expect a lot out of this book, but was pleasantly surprised and am glad I decided to read it. I knew little of the Polish point of view during WW2 and what the Polish resistance fighters went through. The Allied forces hardly gave them airdrops and if they did usually the Germans took them before the Polish were able to. The Russians could've helped them much more during the war and the Poles were hoping they would come into to aid their cause but intentionally didn't help them. After reading this I believe the Polish people were one of the worst treated people during the War second only to the Jews. I could go on about how the Russians really gave the Polish people the big middle finger so it really opens my eyes to that scum. Good read and I highly recommend the book, her dad spoke honestly and openly after decades of keeping this information to herself.
