I've been reading quite a bit of DC New 52 lately, just trying them out and seeing which ones really stick with me, and this one? This one totally stuck with me. Geoff Johns does such a great job of getting you really invested in Aquaman, especially if, like me, you don't know much about him besides all the jokes about how he's a sub par superhero. Johns isn't afraid to address these concerns head on (most of the people in town think Aquaman's a joke) while also showing how great of a superhero Aquaman really is. I also fell in love with Mera, Aquaman's girlfriend, who is featured prominently in this book as Aquaman's equal. (Which she totally is.) This book totally changed my mind about who Aquaman is as a character, and it made me crave to read more of his stories
