This is the first and last Stone Barrington novel I'll be reading. Quite boring if one wants an action packed thriller or mystery story. Filled with the everyday life and conversations of Stone and his buddies, this book has the most action at the very end with Stone being involved in a shoot out. Simple sentences and mainly conversation deliver the plot which unfolds very slowly. Can't believe this author is on the NYTimes Bestsellers list. However, I found the "Author's Note" at the end amusing.
