This is a well-told documentary about the events that led to Berlin hosting the 1936 Olympic Games and the legacy these Games left on the Olympic movement. There are some really interesting details about the proposed exclusion of minority groups, the manoeuvrings behind the scene, but most of all the ideological symbols of these Games that not only survived despite the world-wide condemnation of Nazis, but actually became the central symbols of the Olympic Games today. A great history lesson, multi-faceted, surprising and unforgettable.
