At first this book is the traditional three pigs and a big bad wolf story. I thought it to be nothing special other than Weisner's beautiful illustrations. But then the pigs begin being blown from the story pages and the book becomes confusing. There are multiple stories happening at the same time. It is hard to know where to follow. The pigs travel through other story pages which wasn't very interesting since the pigs don't actually DO anything. Plus, all these story changes are complicated especially for the advertised age range of 4-8. Towards the end the words become jumbled, the story is jumbled and I had no idea what I just read. Other than beautiful artwork, I didn't take anything away from this story. Would I recommend this book? NOT for this young an age range
